Q: How does this whole wedding dress journey work?

A: In general terms and in most cases with ready-to-wear a bridal boutique will have a chosen amount of a certain designer's labels which are the boutiques own sample gowns.  They will have these gowns in certain styles, colours and sizes dependant on their market and image for you to try on via a bridal consultation (this varies in each boutique).  You then order your chosen gown from the boutiques sample in your size and desired colour available unless that actual sample gown is for sale.

Q: What is ready-to-wear?

A:  Gowns already made up displayed as samples to be ordered from. This concept is usually less stressful and beneficial to today’s brides giving them more choice and variety. You feel and see the designer’s quality of workmanship and how it suits and fits your body shape along with the design detail and fabrics all before you commit to anything.  This concept also can usually mean less amount of fittings for girls who dont have alot of time or who are not easily available.  In the end this all comes together for you and eliminates any nasty surprises just days before your wedding.

Q: How soon should I start looking for my wedding gown?

A: As a general rule, we recommend starting between 12-6 months prior to your wedding date.
This way all gown options are available to you without express fees as mostly you are        purchasing your bridal gown from our boutique sample gown in your size and desired colour which can take 3-4 months plus alterations.  This timeframe also allows you the time and consideration needed when selecting your perfect bridal gown.

Q: What is the average price that most brides invest into their gown?

A: Every bride is different but on average $1500-$2500 on a new bridal gown.

Q: What price ranges are your gowns?

A: New bridal gowns start at $500 - $4000 including your alterations/fittings.  We also carry a range of sale gowns which are ex-samples which have been tried on but never worn starting at $250.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to try on bridal gowns?

A: Most definately, we certainly recommend this (especially if you are travelling out of town) so we can guarantee a room for you for the time required.

Q: Is there a fee to try on wedding dresses?

A: If you require a 'Sneak Preview' Bridal Consultation there is a fee.  Please phone for the price on this unique service - 03 2177708 and please allow 2-3 hours.  Depending on how we are placed you may be able to try on some of our sale gown range.

Q: How do I know what will suit me?

A: The bridal gown is the centrepiece to any wedding and most girls are unsure of what style will suit them or of their body shape and in bridal the rules change.  If you are unsure or you are a bride who wants to cross the 't's' and dot the 'i's' ticking all the boxes and not wanting any regrets AFTER your wedding day when you back on your photos, and why not its a big investment, then we recommend our unique 'Sneak Preview' Bridal Consultation.  Its the ultimate in bridal consultations - your complete styling and fully informative guide.  With bridal, its more than just trying on dresses.

Q: What size range are your sample gowns to try?

 A: From sizes 10 through to 26.
